It has come to our attention that individuals are being contacted with letters and checks falsely claiming to be part of a “Hype Energy Auto Wrap Campaign.” These communications promise payment for displaying Hype advertising stickers or car wraps on personal vehicles and instruct recipients to deposit a check and forward funds to a so-called “installer.”
We wish to make it absolutely clear that neither Hype nor any of its group companies has any connection whatsoever with this scheme or with any other schemes that may entice third parties to receive any benefits from Hype in exchange of certain publicity services. We are not running any auto wrap or sticker campaign, nor any other program of sorts, and any letters, checks, or messages you may receive about this are fraudulent.
These are common scams that misuse well-known brands to trick people into depositing counterfeit checks and sending money to criminals. If you receive such communications, please do not respond, do not deposit any checks, and do not send any money.
We strongly encourage anyone targeted to report the matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities (for example, the FTC in the United States, Action Fraud in the UK, or your local law enforcement).
Protect yourself, and please only rely on information published on Hype’s official website and verified social media channels.
