Top foodie event to help end childhood hunger and poverty
On 26 May 2014, the Hype Energy team in Canada was delighted to be a part of the Table of Hope; Montreal’s top foodie event that raises funds for Share the Warmth.
Share The Warmth is an organization with a mission to end childhood hunger and poverty in the Montreal. Their programs offer emergency food access for individuals and families in need as well as programs to increase overall access to healthy nutrition.
Table of Hope or Table de L’Espoir is the successor to the very popular event Taste of the Nation which had been held at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel for twenty Years until 2007 until the sad death of its president and friend to Table of Hope, Normand-Starr. The committee was revived at the suggestion of Herman Alves under the new banner of Table of Hope.
Through the support of all the restaurants, food manufacturers, sponsors, donors and volunteers at the Table of Hope, Share The Warmth will continue to feed the 2,500 children who need food support in 25 Montreal schools.
